We want kids to feel the fun and the joy of reading! Every child is invited to join the FUNtastic Summer Reading Program at Miss Panda’s Reading Playground.
- This is a FREE online summer reading program for kids (ages 0-Gr.8/ novice low – intermediate ACTFL).
- The program is from June 18 to August 10. You can join any time during the summer.
- Children of all ages with or without Chinese language background can participate.
- It is open to classes in school, homeschooling children, weekend Chinese schools, and expat community children.
- Literacy skill: Parents, teachers and educators will have read-aloud, nursery rhymes and finger play for young learners.
- Ready readiness: There are resources to keep the learners engaged with simple and playful reading resources.
- Book recommendation for older children who have been studying Chinese and are ready to explore more about Chinese language and culture
- Multicultural reading online resources to connect Chinese language with the global community.
Miss Panda’s Chinese Reading Playground Summer Reading Program wants you and your children to have a lot of fun reading this summer. Read in Chinese, in English or in any other target languages. This is a global reading program. It is multilingual and it is multicultural.
