Preparation for launch!

Sometimes we spend time a lot of time to prepare for an event.  We want to make sure everything is in place.  We ask ourselves, “Is there anything we are missing?”  “What else should we have for the grand opening?”

How about the launch date?  Maybe we are not ready.  We need to make it perfect and we might need more time.  So, let’s push it back and postpone the grand opening day.

Are you aiming for the perfect?

Are you preparing to launch?  Launch to teach Mandarin to your child.  Do you have any of the following challenges?

Mandarin is not your native language.

  • You can start with an English and Chinese bilingual program.

You speak some Chinese but you are not sure about your Chinese pronunciation.

  • There are good online English-Chinese dictionaries and teaching resources with audio you can refer to.

You want your child to read Chinese.  But you don’t know where to start.

Writing Chinese is also important. And you want to know how many Chinese characters your child should learn.

  • Literacy is the ability to read and write.  You can always start with creating a target language text-rich environment for your child at home.

Introducing Mandarin Chinese to your child is not drilling.  It is not focusing on teaching grammar, either. Your goal is to create curiosity and a playful impression of the Chinese language for your child.

Language is everyday life.  It is communication.  There are conversations.

Preparation for launch is a part of planning.  Your plan should be small enough so you can launch with ease.

If you have missed your earlier launch date.  Your new launch date should be today, not tomorrow.

Are you ready?

If you are a parent whose native language is not Chinese you can consider “Let’s Learn Mandarin Chinese with Miss Panda!” audio album – it is now streaming on Amazon and Spotify in addition to its CD and MP3 format.

This is an audio album designed for parents whose native language is not Mandarin Chinese and who want to introduce basic Mandarin Chinese to the young kids (recommended for age 8 and under) in a playful, engaging, and interactive way.  I use the Chinese English bilingual approach so you and your child can understand everything from the beginning.  There is a companion learning guide to the album so you and your child can connect the spoken words with the written language.

Hope to see you and your little one in the program!
