Chinese for Kids A Snowy Day Activity and Printable
Having a snowy day activity list is a good idea when the winter weather is coming. Parents can make the best of the cold days and add learning elements to it.
It has been snowing here and we are excited. I have a snowy day activity list and it is time to see what we can do. It was cold yesterday but we had a lot of fun throwing snow balls, making snow angels, and trying to put together a snow fort. This is a good time to enjoy some outdoor fun and learn a set of winter vocabulary and sentences.
Here is a snowy day activity idea bank:
How about writing on the snow. Try it with a stick. Copy it from a list.
How many words you can write on the snow? Writing ro copying the same word over and over again is fun, too. After the kids are done. Let them move to the next one.
Warm up! Hop from one word to another.
Making the snowballs. Count them from 1 and up. Then try to countdown from the highest number.
How about making colorful snowballs? Use spray bottles. Mix tempura color with some water. Spring color on the snow ball. What a cool art!
How about making colorful snow paint? Same idea from above. Spray paint the snow on the ground. Make a snow fort and color it.
Ice Decoration. This is one of our favorite. It takes several steps. You need food coloring, beads, glitter, paper cups, ribbons. Add more to the water and mix. Watch this video and give it a try.
I also have a snowy day activity lesson plan. Kids can learn about the weather through seeing, hearing, touching, feeling, and making something fun on a snowy day. Keep warm!
