There are many folktales about the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is also referred to as the “Moon Festival.”  Do you know the story of the Moon Fairy and the rabbit?

Chinese eat special dishes during this holiday.  Have you ever tried a mooncakes 月餅|月饼 read as “Yuè bǐng.”  Do you know that Chinese eat pomelos 柚子 “yòu zi, ” some people also call it 文旦 “wén dàn” during the Mid-Autumn Festival season?  Some Chinese children put the peel of this large fruit on their head like a hat for fun.  Can you find mooncakes and pomelos in a supermarket near you?
